I am looking at a late 80s 37 legend that shows every indication of being raced hard. Before I commit to a survey does anyone have any known trouble spots I should look for.

Primary Winches
If it was raced hard the primary winches will probably have had more wear, especially if they weren't greased much. The sails could be blown out of shape too. Perhaps the lines are ready to be replaced (jib sheets, main sheet, halyards) due to wear and tear. Those are the three areas I'd look for.
