Does anyone know if the Hunter 356 has a engine hour meter somewhere on the boat? If not, how come?

It was rather annoyingly not included in the instrument panel in early models (like mine, a 2003 356). It would have been easy enough to use a tach that had an hour meter, as seeadler's picture shows happened in later years. I added an hour meter myself, wired into the engine and installed in the cabin on the bulkhead right under the companionway.
Someone on the site did
an install of the tach right were the buzzer is on the engine panel. He installed the round tach and fits in the buzzer hole. He placed the buzzer behind the panel and said it was loud enough to still hear.
I installed a rectangular one before seeing the post just inside the companionway cover above the engine. As an afterthought this was a bad spot since to see it, I have to open the cover.

I can't believe they did not add the hour meter in tach my 2001 290 even had one

I have asymmetrical on Java, which I got from Doyle sails at the boat show a couple of years ago. Feel that is enough for Joan and I to handle.

Here are the measurements from Doyle for the sail I purchased.
I = 44.88
J = 13.16
H = 46.50
Ji = 14.75
It was .75oz nylon 976sq ft

The engine hour meter on our 2002 H356 was installed in the cockpit port side locker just under the lid. I think it was installed by the dealer (Norton Yachts) when the boat was commissioned. I do not think the 356's have a factory installed hour meter.
