I am thinking of buying a Hunter 356 and am trying to find out if the head come with an overboard discharge valve. We will be doing some cruising and I don't want to have to rely on the pump out station.Do you know? Thanks
Better yet, have him install a Lectra/San (CG certified Type I MSD that treats waste and discharges it overboard. There's no rule that you have to settle for whatever comes "standard" on a boat...You can have just about anything you want to pay to have added or upgraded.
The head doesn't have an overboard discharge, but the holding tank on the 356 normally has a macerator and discharge thru hull installed in the stern. Be very careful that you follow the rules for where/when discharge is permitted-the fines can be huge!
