Hunter 35.5 removing teak plate in forward cabin

Alan, you mentionned in another post that If you remove the teak plate at the front of the V berth in the 35.5 you will see the fill hose. I looked at removing that plate but could not find any fastners. Could you please indicate the procedure for removal? Thanks.

I wondered about that in the beginning too! There are two thin strips of teak that run along the edge where the hull meets the top of the bed surface that you remove which allows the plate to lift out by sliding the bottom edge back. The plate itself is not secured with any fasteners. A battery operated screw/drill will make quick work of the many screws for those strips.
