Opening ports made by gray enterprises (1983) have white knobs for dogging . I have several of these knobs that are cracked and do not hold up well to epoxy repair. Has anyone found like and kind replacement knobs for these ports? Also does anyone know of replacement screen frames. Please respond to ketoj@aol.com or ketoja@nu.com. Thanx

Try JSI

I think Grey was bought out by Bomar. JSI carries a full line of Grey/Bomar opening ports and parts. http://www.sailnet.com/store/

Opening ports

Jerry; Contact Pompanette Inc PO Box W Charlestown NH, 03603 Att Jennifer Porter 603-826-5791 Fax 603-826-4125 I replaced all the opening ports and gaskets on my 1984 H31 which are gray marine. Pompanette/Bomar will give you the part numbers you need and you probably may order direct from them. Being in Canada, I simply took the part numbers to my marine store and they were able to order them for me. Hope this helps, Mac Lindsay S.V. Kitkatla

Compatible knobs

I replaced the knobs several years ago with Beckson cam-knobs from Defender. They come(came) in two thread sizes - one for Beckson ports, and a larger one that fits the Gray ports. They have worked well - the adavantage is that you can simply flip the levers to open/close. Derek
