Hunter 34 Hull and deck construction

Hi, interested to find out if the 83-87 hunter 34 has a cored deck and hull, and if so what materials are used?
I've seen a 1985 with a couple of soft spots on the deck, directly adjacent to portholes.

I don’t own one, but I would venture a guess that the deck is cored, but the hull is not.

I found this diagram here on SBO for the H34…


Maybe a H34 owner can confirm my guesses.

Greg is correct, hull is solid and the deck, cabin sides and cabin top is cored with plywood. The cabin sides really are not cored in the traditional sense; the cabin liner is not well adhered to the inside of the plywood, so ya have a plywood plate glassed to the outer shell but not completely to the inner liner.

Sounds like leaking deck hardware could be a real headache. Has anyone had to address rot, and what is the usual approach (cut the liner)?
