Hi new owner hunter 34
Battery s located starboard side under cockpit seat
Is there another access I am not aware of or is it required of a near heavy set man to try and reach through the seat at arm length to check the connectivity of Battery
Dam near lost an ear during such maneuver in and at dock not even tossing In The ocean
I am considering cutting and re designing the access
I hope someone knows an alternative
Thank you sincerely Renn Nelson

Yeah. . . That’s one of the issues with the H34. I moved mine to under the port settee in the salon. Better access and better weight distribution. Others have cut an access hatch in the plywood wall between the aft berth and the “dungeon” This also give access to the fuel tank.

Couple of options.. I put in a remote watering system so I could water them .. Some folks have cut an access door which also allows much better access to the fuel tank. Attached photo is the one Claude Auger put in his 34. Or you can climb in I am 6' and 250 pounds and I can wiggle in and out slowly.. If ya go in, tie the seat up so ya don't get locked in.. and it helps to have a piece of line from the boom . The line acts as a handhold and exit helper!

I like that option as there is a starboard list with water tanks full and fuel tank at only quarter full

The down side is that you need about 60 ft of heavy gauge copper wire to reach the batteries there and that’s about $10 per foot.
