Sorry Johnny, lots of us have searched, no such

animal. The factory told me 'so sorry'. You'll have to adapt a SMALLER one. Not much out there bigger that anybody has found. Let us know what you find. :( P.S. You might post a notice if you are missing a vent. No sense in two people replacing ONE vent. If you want to clean up existing vents, Krylon just came out with a plastic paint that bonds and blends, not just 'stick'. I painted mine with Nico paint, expensive.

Cowl Vent Replacement

This was posted several months back ... the original poster (don't recall his name) cut out the top of the original dorade box and replaces it with a 1/2 " cover made from starboard. He mounted currently available cowl vents in the new top. Looks like a very good solution. He even routed to top of the new cover to make it look pretty. Hope this helps. Gary

If I have to replace mine,

I will do what Gary suggests, however, I did take mine off the boat, took them home and sanded them with my random orbital palm sander using 100 grit paper. They cleaned up extremely well, I then took them to an auto body shop, and had them painted with the paint they use on car bumpers. Primed, white color, then clear coat. They have been back in service for two seasons, look as new! If you still have yours, you may want to try that.

Great idea John.

The stuff is called 'Flex-add'. Works with automotive paint. Just follow the directions. Get it at any jobber. Choose any color paint too. Hmmm, Hugger Orange, paint code 72-72,,,hmmm

Reply on Hunter 34 cowl vents

Hey Gary thanks for the info it seem as that I've been beating a dead horse to death I've called some where in the neighborhood of 20 or more vendors and have even tried salvage vendors listed on internet search,I like your ideal and it doesn't look bad either instead of doing it in white I'm thinking something like teak with a 3" deluxe low profile from West Marine with a red inlay I've got a buddy here in Conway that has a teak wood working service and also is a proud owner of a Hunter 34 as well you might have seen some of his posted reguest in the past his name is Tim Wielch for my self I'm a paint and body guy and have been for some time,I noticed in some of the other replys they talked about refinishing there old ones I would just like to have some to refinish, and by the way my buddy Tim decided to go snow sking in Denver, what a deal.I wanted to think you and everyone who has replied to my posted add I think there are some good guys out there THANKS Johnny

Chlorox

I filled a large bucket with chlorox and soaked them for 24 hours. They came out clean and nice.

Yea, but Charlie,

Clorox? That must have cost Nearly two dollars. Why not store brand bleach? :)

store brand bleach

I'll give you one for fred... :) I'm in biotech-Clorox brand bleach is the only one that doesn't contain mercury as a byproduct of mfg. We have to use it and only it in the industry to minimize pollution-it's worth the $2!
