I am going up from a Hunter 26. Boats under consideration are the three listed. I have read the reviews and the Catalina seems to have the most avid fans. However, the reviews seem to have been writen in the early ownership days. I welcome any and all opinions and even suggestions for another manufacturer. Thanks in advance.

One more vote for 336

I have only owned one boat, my 1996 H336. I have owned it for two years now and I love it. Easy to handle, to service, and all the systems have been very dependable. It is also very comfortable and roomy. I cannot believe that you will get the same space on the smaller boats, but at the same prices, they are likely newer. Good luck with you decision. Your Decision

All three are fine boats. But I can't answer this question for you. Each boat will have some slightly stronger or weaker design features. And I have no way to know what you are looking for in a boat. You need to look at these things and determine what best fits your usage. The fact that I am very happy with my C310 really doesn't tell YOU much. But in general I will say, the C310's interior is designed with a slant towards two people to cruise on comfortably. The C320's layout will accommodate more people below but I didn't like the sleeping arrangement as much. Both have similar cockpits and rigs. I can't comment on the Hunter because I think style is a very personal issue. Again, I can't stress enough that the opinions of others may be interesting, and may point towards really bad features, but boats are a very personal choice, and how it fits you is what's important. Happy Shopping

Buy the one you love

You're probably cruising protected waters and all the ones listed will do the job just fine. Buy the one you love - the one that makes you feel all funny every time you climb aboard. Do that

Observation

How will you be using the boat? That is the first question you need to ask yourself. The Cat 31 is a great 2 person boat due to its forward berth but it really cuts down on the interior space if you have more than two people. The Hunter has a great cockpit for lounging outside if you are going to do a lot of that. The Beneteau is probably the best compromise from an interior vs exterior room. Better joinery, may not sail as well but the difference is negligible. Why not try and charter each one for a week and see what you like.
