Hi everyone, I am a new owner of a 1995 Hunter 336, and the aft mattress needs to be replaced. I'm sleeping in a hole! Any places you can recommend where I can order a comfy foam mattress at a reasonable price? I've been quoted $1100, but I'd really like to keep it sub-$800 if I can. Thank you!

Local vendor
We got one made for our 376. We used a local vendor in the area. They did it for under $300. It was about 4 years ago, so I don't know what the materialis worth today. If foam is directly proportiona to the price of fuel, $1,000.00 may be a good price. One trick they did show me. If the foam is deformed but not dry rotted, it can be steamed and it will revert to its original shape. If you want to spend some more they can make a layered foam mattress emulating a grand name. They use different density foams in the layers with memory foam being one of the layers (I think the top layer). We live in the Phila PA area and they are in Essington, PA. Latex for about $550.00
I purchased a Latex mattress for our '94 Hunter Vision 36. The price was around %550. Interspring mattresses are going to be about $1100. PS: Latex is not foam. It is natural rubber and should last for 20 plus years.

Steve, Is the latex mattress thick and comfortable? I don't think I've ever seen one. My husband is 6'3" and 250, and I am around 140, so I don't want to end up rolling over into him because of the difference in body weight. The price of your latex mattress is what I had in mind. Thanks!
