Has anybody had issue with the mainsheet purchase system on the 2004+ Hunter 33. Mine is not set up like the owners manual says and it is not adequate for anything other than very light winds. The manual shows a block with a becket attached to the travler, the mainsheet starts at the becket, runs to a block on the end of the boom, back down around the mainsheet block, up to another block forward on the boom and then into the boom. My set up is: Shackle at boom end, down to a turning block on the travler, up to a block forward on the boom and then into the boom. Comments anybody?

John, My '04 H33 has the same set up as yours. I noticed the difference in the manual when I first got the boat in '03. I found that there were several discrepancies between the manual and what I actually received. The manual also indicates that boats equipped with factory air conditioning have 2 shore power inputs, mine came from the factory with one. I e-mailed Hunter questioning as to why my boat has only 1 shore power input over a year ago and again 2 weeks ago. I haven't received an answer to either e-mail as of yet. In fact, I've never received any reply from any e-mail that I've ever sent with a technical question. If you notice, many of the drawings in the manual indicate they were for the H41. I have my boat on Rock Creek in Pasadena. E-mail me off line if you'd like to compare notes. jpmofmt@comcast.net John M.
