The John Cherubini 33 is a great boat and I hope she never leaves me. However the rudder stuffing box, bearings, etc. are a maintenance nightmare at best and possibly dangerous in a seaway. Has anyone modified the cap bearing housing and lengthened the stuffing box to raise it above the waterline, hopefully using off the shelf parts. I've had to grind the original off so theres no loss in trying now! Thanks
