Hunter 33 Portland, or
I am replacing my spx 5 and st6002 auto pilot with the Evo 100 and p70. I have the acu 100 installed and ran into a issue with the power connection requiring a RF drain wire to RF ground on boat. I did not have such a wire on power connection to my spx5 course computer, only a yellow and red ( which is to large to fit in pos and neg terminal on acu 100). Does the Hunter 33 have a RF ground and if so how do I tie into it. Also has anyone installed the EV-1 sensor on a hunter 33. Where have others placed it. I had a flux gate compass on inside of stern bulkhead, I was thinking of mounting it to the same plywood piece that the flux gate was mounted to. Not sure how it would work on very back of boat.

Thought swapping out would be simple since I ran a new seatalk backbone already with install of i70. Any input would be appreciated.

I can't speak for your Hunter, specifically, but on our boat I ran a dedicated RFI ground wire. The post I put in Main Sail's forum has some info in it:

On the sensor, you don't have to stay near the center line of the boat, as in previous models. Mine works fine off center near the starboard side of my boat. Mine is located about 2/3's of the way back from the bow, though, so unsure about locating it far back near the stern.
