Hunter 33.5 Northern Neck, VA
My wife and I are interested in purchasing a Hunter 33.5. We have found some for sale but they are not in our area. We live in Norther Virginia. Before we make an offer on one of the boats out of our area we would like to board one to get the feel of the boat. Is there anybody on this forum that would be willing to let my wife and i board their 33.5 to get the feel of the boat. We do not expect or want you to take us sailing, we need to get the feel of the boat inside.
Regards

Certainly going aboard one is necessary to get the feel of the boat. However a professional marine surveyor should check the boat BEFORE you make an offer on any boat.
Big mistake if you don't.

I hear there's a guy in St. Louis that would consider it. Long way from Virginia though. :D

You should be aware that there are two versions of the 33.5. We have the 1991 which was the year of the change. Some 91's are the older and others are the newer, T, I think it's called.

We like ours (the newer style) better because it has a u-shaped dinette and a full rear berth across the stern. I think the head room is a little higher in the v-berth area as well.

Good luck finding the right boat for you. (We're in Southern Calif. or we'd love to have you aboard.)

There is also a different engine (larger) on the newer version as well as outboard cockpit seats in the aft quarters. I love my (older) 33.5.
