Concerning the comfort (or lack thereof)of the berths on the 320, I was once a boy scout and spent plenty of nights sleeping on the ground, the only difference being that the ground doesn't rock you to sleep.....unless you live in a seismic zone like seattle. The hunter dealer here has a 460 in stock with the inner spring mattresses and I laid on one. I don't see how anyone could possibly sleep on one of those things......I'll take the 320's berth.

The eggcrate stuff comes in several densities. Get the most expensive (higher density) and cut with scissors to fit your berths. It made a huge difference in comfort and makes the "seams" where two cushions meet up completely un-noticable. Doug

Where did you put this egg-crate stuff? Under the Hunter provided padding in the Aft and V-Berth? Aren't you worried about it sucking up moisture? What did use for sheets or other bedding material.... New boat as you can tell...

"Egg-crate"
I have been using two high density egg-crate pieces under AND over the v-berth cushions for approximately two years now ("crates" pointing downward under cushions for air circulation!) both having been cut as a single piece the size of both cushions. I bought the best high-density foam money can buy (Very white and tight smooth foam appearance)and have had no moisture problems underneath, although I do tend to lift my cushions to increase air circulation if away from the boat for sometime...
