My wife and I were on a Hunter 310 yesterday and we finally agreed on a boat that we both liked. The difference between the 310 and the Catalina 30 is enormous. Does any one have any experience with the 310 and could you tell me about them. The arch impressed me for the obvious safety reasons. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have.

H310

Have had my H310 for 4 years now. The arch does add comfort factor for non sailors/guests. It also makes for a great attachment point for a bimini which covers the fore and aft sections of the cockpit which is a must in my part of the country. The cockpit is very roomy so coastal sailing and entertaining quite comfortable. Interior volume is excellent for size of boat. You should reef at about 15 kts of wind. I have the furling main so this is not a problem. My wife, daughter and myself mostly day sail but have been on the boat for up to a week at a time and don't feel cramped. Next week we will be sailing to Ft. Walton and Panama City, Fl. area and will be aboard for 12 days.

Thanks, Tom

Thanks Tom, Did you have vibration problems with the engine and what is your fuel economy?. Does the fiberglass arch have steel tubing in side or is it constructed entirely out of fiberglass. Are you happy with the B&R rig?
