Roberto my advice would be for you to define to yourself a real need for a windlass based on your anchor, the rode, usual anchoring depth, age and health issues. Then I would suggest you go to the archives an read the number of threads that have been posted on the issue. The installation of an electric windlass on a small boat is difficult, costly and may require a dedicated power source. An alternative would be to consider a manual windlass, not that they are any easier to install but surely less costly as will not require any wiring.
