I recently purchared a Hunter 310. The prior owner replaced the manual head pump but ran the raw water intake line directly from the thru hull to the pump intake, bypassing the vented loop. Is there a problem with this?
I don't see a problem here as long as you have a seacock on the thru-hull. I just changed the lines on mine and only the vents were looped. The intake goes straight to the pump and the line between the bowl and holding tank is vented.
There are manuals online that show how the system should be hooked up.
