It was a bad day. I crashed my 1985 Hunter 31 into a docked boats anchor during a swift ebb tide. I ripped a part my port stern rail. Any thoughts on where I might get a replacement or specs for remaking a new one? I am not even sure where I would go for a rebuild. In advance, thanks for any input. Mark

Would it be possible to talk to your insurance company about this? If that is an option, they may handle the repair. Just a thought.

Another boat trying to dock next to me in a breeze bent my port side stern rail inward with its bow pulpit. Their insurance is covering the repair. My marina shop could not find a replacement so they are having a fabricator make the repair. Damage bill was over $1k. See pix...

Thanks to all that responded, esp Phil who put me in touch with whitewatermarineinc.com. I spoke with Mike Klass who still has the actual spec drawings and, in fact is the very guy who built the rails for Hunter 31 & 34 so many years ago! Cost for this custom stainless steel job done to original spec is $350.

Think about having stern seats made into the new rail. You will never have a better chance to do this again.
