hunter 31 ~ sail inventory?

Hi there! As you may have seen previously, I recently purchased an 84 Hunter 31 ... been cleaning it up ~ love it so far!
I was in for a suprise tonight.. I cleaned the jib (came out nice!) ~ and was all set to clean what I thought was a cruising spinnaker ~ lo and behold ~ I pulled the bag out, and it looks like a genoa!! My question tonight ~ did this boat come outfitted with a cruising spinnaker? (That perhaps the previous owner may have stashed somewhere!) ~ or was that an 'extra' for this model?? I was rather suprised to realize suddenly I don't seem to have one!

I feel like the asymetric spinnaker didn't really get popular until after 1984..

Nope.

The Hunter 31 came with a main & a 110 jib. That was it. Nothing has changed much over the years.

no aso spin... Ah well...

I see.. yes- I'm noticing its not rigged for a spin (downhaul, topping lift for a pole, etc etc)... I thought maybe since it was supposed to be a cruising spin for use without a pole, that was why. Imagine my surprise!
I'm adding a spinnaker to my list of "to dos" now... the list keeps getting longer and longer hehe...

thanks for the advice! I should be going out for my first solo sail friday - we'll see!
