I have the aluminum holding tank 15 gal which is way down under and between the two aft lazarettes. I don't see how I could get it out and I'm considering relocating the new plastic one. Has anyone done this? I'm thinking of either on the aft side of the head bulkhead in the aft berth area which would make the hose length nice and short or in the compartment next to the sink which is real deep and not that usuable on the bottom anyway. Also, if you have replaced yours where it is currently located, please give me some advise. I wish those flexible ones were a good idea!]thanks

Any place within 6' of toilet is a good location

However, I wouldn't bury it deep in the hull, 'cuz you want to keep the vent line as short as possible too. Download and print the pages from the Ronco Plastics catalog http://www.ronco-plastics.com that show tanks in the size range you need...take 'em to the boat...and start looking for a good location in which one of 'em will fit. Once you've done that, we can talk about where to specify the fittings.

I am going to replace my head, all hoses, and holding tank in just a couple of weeks. I have done a bunch of research and been in touch with other H30 owners. Will be glad to share with you if you're interested. I'm in the directory. Sherry

I replaced the holding tank on my 30T (1991) and have pictures and a description describing the steps I took. I can send it to you but a better idea would be to come look at my 30T so you can see my installation. I am at Shelter Island so contact me through Owner Directory and we can exchange boat visits. I observed a 30T several days ago taking on fuel at Pearson's Fuel Dock. Was that you?
