Have a '90

Have a 1990, no major problems to date. You will undoubtedly find rust on the keel when you haul out for a survey, and maybe a crack at the hull/keel line. This is normal for this boat and other Hunters of this era; check the archives for many articles about maintaining an iron keel. Haven't heard of much blistering or mast step problems. Yanmar engine should run forever if well maintained. If you motor much, you may want to consider a 3-bladed prop. Also check the reviews on this site. A pretty solid boat, and much more boat, especially internally, than most in this size.

HAve a 1991 Hunter 30

It as a great boat, but like ony other has some "little" problems. Check the tanks - on my boat , the water tank is plastic, the fuel tank is plastic, but the holding tank was aluminum and their usefull life is usually about 10 years, soooo ... the tank and the plumbing has to be replaced - a very, very stinky job... Otherwise she is great and I love my boat. Sails like a dream...
