Purchased a '91 30T in April and have enjoyed several overnights on her in Puget Sound so far. Sometimes when the water gets a bit wavy at a dock the weight inside the column that counterbalances the saloon table will thunk against the inside of the post that supports the table. In trying to pull the weight up using just the line that attaches it to the table support it feels pretty heavy. I'm thinking I can remove the sheave the line runs through and pull the weight out of the column if the weight is small enough and then wrap it in bubble wrap or cloth. Anyone have a solution for damping down the weight and eliminating the thunking?
