Has anyone replaced the fixed side windows on thier boat recently. Mine is a 1976 Hunter 30 (a great old boat). I would love to hear where you got them, what they cost, and whether or not your satisfied with the product. Thanks in advance..........Fair Winds

Replaced mine with Bomon

I replaced mine last year with custom windows from Bomon. These are aluminum framed and look great. They are located in Canada and delivery was about 6 weeks. They were easy to install and cost about what you can get exact replacements from Mark's Plastics (check the archives), around $225 each. The gasket works well and requires no caulk. See the link below, and contact them if you need help. They will want to know the cutout size, not the current frame size. I removed the inner trim ring to measure, and left the windows in place until the new ones arrived.

Trimatrix Ports

I own an HC33, 1976, and I just replaced all 11 ports with Trimatrix from www.newfoundmetals.com . These ports are awsome and inexpensive. The staff at Newfound Metals are great and you can see photos from past installation on their website. These ports have stainless steel "dogs" that seal the port to a thick solid rubber gasket and they do not leak. No caulking is necessary as they have their own external gasket that seals against the cabin. For an old, they blend in great and the cost is great also. Good luck.
