Hunter 29.5 - Water in Starboard Aft Locker

When it rains, water is running into my starboard aft locker when the boat is dry-docked. I thought I found the source of the leak when I removed the cockpit floor board that runs from the pedestal to under the helmsman's seat, but no such luck. I cleaned the dirt and grime that was in there and put some duct tape over the wires as it seems that the water flowed in that direction. However, with all the rain we received last week, the locker was full again when I checked on the boat over the weekend. Is there a cockpit drain someone that could be clogged? I don't seem to have much of a problem when the boat is in the water as I have a bimini and cockpit cover so the water probably flows off elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The locker inside the cockpit?

Are you talking about the locker inside the cockpit or the one aft of the cockpit (swim platform). Knock knock I'v never had water there, that's where the battery charger, batteries and isolator switches are located right?

More water

You might check the old archives 'cause I recall a thread on that locker. For most folks it was while the boat was in the water. Our 29.5 had a water collection problem there but the dealer fixed it. I'm sorry but I don't recall what he did, but check the archives

swim ladder

check the archives for other ideas but I solved mine -- my swim ladder and the grab rails were loose and needed to be re-caulked. Bill Murray S/V Good Faith H29.5 #175
