I am looking at the possibility of buying a 1996 Hunter 280 but noticed the large side windows are leaking. Closer examination revealed that the large starboard side window is bowed out in the middle and the port side window's sealant is cracked. I have seen several owners reviews where this problem (bowing)was mentioned, but the only remedy stated was that Hunter took care of the problem. I wondered if anyone has had this problem and what method of repair was used. It looks to me like both windows need to be removed, cleaned of sealant and resealed but, I wonder if mechanical fasteners are required to keep this from happening again?
