Hunter 280 Mast Step

Going from a Hunter 26 to a Hunter 280, I expected the mast to have a hinged step. The 280 I just purchased needed a crane to drop the mast for travel. Is there a way to install a hinged mast step for the Hunter 280. The new trailer has a mast raising setup that requires a hinged mast step.

I have a hunter 27 that is the same way

$100 up and $100 down with no other way around it. I would never dare to do it any other way. I used to have a 23' that went up with a hinged mast step...piece of cake.
