Hunter 280 Instrument gauges pegging

I have a '98 Hunter 280 and for the last couple weeks my water tank and holding tank gauges have been pegging to 'full' immediately as I turn on the 'Instrument' switch. Both started doing it about 4 weeks ago, there has been no modification of wiring or changes to electrical system. Just looking for anyone who may have been down this road before I start poking around.

My gauges for water tank are removed from previous owner and the gauges for holding is stuck caused by internal gauge ( bad idea for ****...,,
That's on my spring to do list
