First introduced in Annapolis
I intorduced the 260 at Annapolis if I recall in 1997. The 270 which was called the 260 wing keel was to be in the line up too but the dealer who was bringing that in was too late, therefore, the boat was in the water at another location in the show. I helped to introduce that boat. The options are the same as the 260 except for some differeences. The boat is standard with a keel and the floor is straight across with a teak and holly sole floor. You can actually lower the table to make a berth and turn it around to extend the forward berth. Since it has bilge area, the possibility for hot and cold water with even a shower in the head is a possibility. The entrance coming into the cabin is differnet as the stepping is incorporated with a removable motor cover. You can place any instruments forward. You can get an optional inboard diesel. Wheel steering is standard. As for performance, everything being equal, the keel version is a little faster the the 260. As for trailering, the 260 has it over the 270 as for launching and retrieving; however, you still have a mast raise system standard with the boat.I hope this helps you and if you have any further questions, feel free to post on the forum.
