Hi everybody! I took over this lady from marina for outstanding unpaid
amount. After going over her this is what I found.
In her 20GMF yanmar heat exchanger is litle bit of oil around the rim.The engine runs fine as far as I can say.
I don't like the under waterline engine exhaust.I like to see and hear the water
exiting and hear the engine happy.
There is one very strange thing. There is one keel middle nut and bolt missing.
It seems to broke of. There is some rust showing in the spot. The rest of the
bolts and nuts seems to be fine. They are bright stainless steel. This is what I
need to know. How is the keel made and how do you remove bolt from the keel.
Thanks guys for any input. This is my first plastic sailboat. Before it was steel
and there it is strait foreword - WELDED - . Thanks my name is Steve

Welcome to a great boat!

Learn how to use the search function on this website. I'll bet everything you or I would want to know about our Cherubini h27's is here somewhere. Here is the best link I found searching on our model (h27 75-84) for the exact phrase "keel bolts".

A 2 cylinder Yanmar is plenty of power for this boat, and will easily drive you to hull speed. Our 1GM10 has sea water cooling, so I can't help you there.

Hi Dave! Thanks for the info on keel bolts that was real help.As the engine goes the 2cyl.
is fresh water cooled but the fresh water is cooled by sea water. My uneasiness comes
from the fact that the wet exhaust is under waterline and you don't see the water exiting.
Thanks again Steve

Hi Garyc! I know that it should be on the stern above waterline. But it is not and because it is below the waterline and I don't like it, I would like to know opinion of others who have similar arrangement. I like to see and hear the water splashing out and know the engine is happy. Steve
