Hunter did make it.
I had a 1998 Hunter 260 with wheel steering, fixed keel and 9 hp outboard - not water ballasted. Diesel inboard was an option in 98 and 99.

Yes, There's a Hunter 26, a Hunter 260, and a Hunter 270 all 26 foot
Hunters. The first two are water ballast the latter is a fixed keel boat. There were not many made. It was a limited run HUNK0162F102 – HUNK0173D304.
I believe there even was a one-off H270 set up for racing and you occasionally see references to it.
