I've a 1999 Hunter 260 WB and the hole in the table that the center post passes through is just a very rough cutout. I assume it had a ring round it to finish it off at some point. Just wondering if anyone can verify this and if anyone has any creative ideas on finishing it off without taking the pole down! Happy Thanksgiving and fair winds, Bill P.

H260 Table

Bill, I have a 2003 H260 and the hold fits snug around the pole. There is no sleeve. Either the hole has become enlarged over time or the PO had modified it somehow to make it easier to raise and lower. There should be a snug fit around the compression pole. My guess is it will be a lot harder to remove the pole than modify the table. You might want to craft a sleeve to take up the slack or do as others have done - modify the table with various goals in mind. It's a little hard to raise it up I like it just as it is. I've found a way to get it up out of the way when necessary. Check this link: http://www.kobernus.com/hunter260/table/table.html

The hole in the table should be snug around the pole. I agree with George, it sounds like the PO made a modification of some sorts. To cover this you could determine the dimention of the pole and create some sort of drink holders out of teak.
