I've noticed on the lower rudder mount port side moves fore and aft about 1/8" to 3/16" with rudder inputs, particularly if the rudder is set for shallow water. As well, the cable guides (we have the wheel version) under the seat appear to have cracks on their mounts. My question is: Have other 260 owners experienced either of these issues and what was your fix?

Photo's as requested. An additional question Dave; Reference the second photo, should there be nuts and washers on these bolts or is there a backing plate already installed? I've noticed the upper rudder mount has nuts and washers.

I was unable to find what I posted so here we go again. Encapsulated in the glass is an aluminum plate that is drilled and tapped. Those bolts need to be tightened. If you want to go the extra mile, you could take an aluminum plate or stainless steel plate and drill three holes to correspond to the bolt pattern and then add that with a lock nut but if you want to go further, you could also add a lock washer under that lock nut.
