I'm going to Jacksonville Fl. for the Mug race this May on the ST Johns and need some help with the boat set up. Question 1. Should I empty the fwd fresh water tank for the race? #2 I carry three Type 27 Gel Batteries, should I remove 2? #3 There will be 4 people on board, where would the best place for there weight distribution? #4 I nomally carry 9 gal of gas under the captains chair in two tanks ( 3 and 6 gal ) should I only take the 3 gal?. I have a built in refrigerator-freezer amidships stbd side (where the ice chest used to be) How much will that effect speed? #5 Any helpful tricks or setup sugestions? I have never raced but have cruised extensively. Thanks all.
