Hunter 260 Main

We just purchased a 2005 Hunter 260 with the Doyle Main sail still in the bag, I don’t see any batons for the sail any where on board. Our last boat was a Hunter 23.5 and it had a full baton main, is the 260 a full baton main? the previous owner is not available to contact right now to ask.

Sunhunter, the best I can suggest is that you open the sail and look. My 260 is a 1998 and for some reason was sewn with options for both, it seems, and then before delivery the pockets for the partial batons were sewn closed, so we can only use full length ones. I had never seen a sail sewn both ways before I saw ours, so open it up and look. You can measure the pocket sizes while you're at it and make sure you have ones made that fit correctly, too!
