Just received a new H-260 Water Ballast. I am wondering how much anchor line can be stowed in the anchor locker if the dnaforth anchor and 15'1/4" chain is included in locker. So how many feet of 1/2 inch 3 strand braided rope will it hold? Also, any input on your anchor-chain-rope combo's would be nice. I was thinking of 15' of 1/4" chain, 150' 1/2 " rope on a danforth.

30' 5/16" chain, 120' 1/2" rope for anchor #1 and

15' 5/16" chain, 100' 1/2" rope for anchor #2. Ropes and chain in locker. Anchors hang on each side of pulpit. 17# modified danford for #1 and 13# stock danford for #2. Works good in the river with the current.

Other anchors?

Check the archives (and the current forums) as there have been a lot of discussions on anchors, and the various types. My main anchor (Hunter 37) is a CQR. With a Fortress (Danforth-like) as the "lunch hook." I may also add a Bruce or Claw.
