Please have the boat inspected before you buy. I have a 94 Hunter 26 and love it but there are lots of things that you might not see on your inspection. I have not had any real problems. Depending on year and options price might be Ok. I would look for stern rail seats and CDI furling Jib, Sail conditon and extras.

sounds good to me

If I could have found a 26 for 19K when I bought my 240, I would have probably gone with the 26

Depends...

I just bought a 1997 26 for 23,500. It is loaded with wheel, auto pilot, wind indicator, depth and sound, cd player and speakers, cockpit cushions, stern rail seats,Force 10BBQ, elec start for 8hp motor, motorboat style speed and direction control. The boat is in perfect shape. So it all depends on what you get for the money. Good luck!! You will love sailing a 26! Sailon

94 H26 price

Get surveyor report, bought a 94 H26 about 6 months ago and have learned the the biggest mistake was thinking I could find the problems. If you are using a broker remember he represents the seller.

Price is relative...

We spent 2 months searching for a H26. Found most priced between $17,000 and $24,000. All depends on what's on it. We ended up getting a good deal from a private owner ... fresh water boat with trailer at $14,500. We are adding stern rail seats, some electronics but overall, it is in great shape. Check out BUCvalue.com ... it'll give you a range what your boat is worth. But do get a survey! It's money well spent!

HUNTER PURCAHSE

I paid $19,000 for my boat in March. It was a 94 model with a brand new motor and loaded with electronics. I feel I was treated fairly. The boat does great and I have no complaints. I truely like the way it points.

Maybe a little high

I just sold by 95 H26 this summer. I sold it for 17500. Prior to selling, I had the boat listed at 22,500. Most H26 between 15000 (must sell) and 18000 are the ones that sell. Anything above that is not likely to sell. That's just the way the market works. It has nothing to do with how much the seller thinks it is worth. If someone is offering the boat at 19000, make a counter offer. If the seller wants to sell, they will negotiate. Mark

Note to Reena Dykes -- I tried the web site you mentioned - BUCvalue.com - and I cannot get it to come up. Is the URL correct.
