So far, no responses and nothing in boat modifications for either the 260/26. Most who wanted the adjustable outboard motor bracket put it on just like yours pictured. As for the motor, you have more power than needed which will cause the boat to plow thru the water at full throttle requiring you to slow down. Then there is added weight added to the mix.
I have seen various thoughts on another wood/white plastic delron brackets so I am not sure but if I was doing that, I would make one larger to accommodate all bolts on the outboard motor bracket to be affixed with metal supports or straps on the back side of the board to spread the load. I would use larger bolts but with backing plates inside the boat, not washers as that is not really spreading the load.
