I am trying to find out as much as possible about the water ballast Hunter 26, i.e. tow vehicle requirements, likes, dislikes, modifications.

Joe, We have a 95 H26 water ballasted boat

that we have towed around to different lakes in our area. We have a slip on Lake Roosevelt in eastern Washington State where we usually sail. I know I can answer just about any question you have. Our boat is very nicely equiped and we have made quite a few changes that allow us to spend up to 8 days without seeking land. More than that and we need to pump out and refill the coolers. In addition to an owners manual the original owner had thoughtfully put together a manual of every piece of equipment on the boat. We added to this. Do you have a H26 or are you considering buying one? Contact me through the owners directory and supply your e-mail and a list of things you would like to know. I should be able to respond within a day. If you don't have a 26 I can assure you that this is the best, biggest towable boat you will find. The 26 is basically the same as the 260 for much less money. We sailed over 1100 miles last summer and live aboard 2 to 4 days a week at minimum. Ray
