I am wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for a H26. I have had my boat a year now and I just realized that none of the 120v outlets in the boat work. I am not getting power to them, but I'm not sure why:confused:. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, I’ll jump in here.

Chances are your H26 110v system was added after the original purchase.
I’ve not seen one with 110 from the factory.
The dealer may have installed it, but I would suspect an owner did the work.
So, get yourself a simple tester. One with a light that comes on when current is present will be fine.
Start at the source – literally. Test the end of the shore power cord. Then the back side of the power inlet. The power panel and fuse. (I guess I’m making an assumption that you don’t just have an extension cord thrown in over the side as some people do. If so, shame on you). Pay particular attention to connections and fuses.
Have fun! It’s a great way to get to know your boat.

Thanks for the reply. I spent the last week crawling around my boat to see how all the wire is run. What i found is that the outlets only work with shore power. There is no on-board inverter for the outlets. That's why I wasn't getting any power.
I am now looking into wiring an inverter to the boat and have a switch so the outlets work off the battery, but if I am at a location that has shore power I can use it. Switching off the inverter of course so it doesn't back feed. I have yet to see a good wiring diagram of this yet.

Keep in mind the amount of amps you draw from 12 volt batteries to power 110v.
OK for charging laptops and such.

So I shouldn't use the hair dryer, microwave, refrigerator, and space heater all at the same time?:D
I'm only using it for the kids Nintendo DS chargers and portable dvd player when they actually come out to the boat.

I was the first to install shore power on the Hunter 26 and 260. I never advocated the inverter to convert DC to AC as you will draw down your battery quickly. So the answer is yes never to draw down using high amperage devices on a single or either dual battery system. I know of instances where that was done and when the boat was out in the main shipping channel without lights, that was very dangerous and of course the Coast Guard gave him a wonderful expensive surprise for that stunt.

As for shore power, make sure you have a GFI on the system with it nearest either sink in the boat.
