Hi,
I am wondering what original lines went through the boom.
I don't have a reefing line inside my boom. Instead, at the gooseneck I have a two lines, one on the starboard and one on the port side, both using the rope jam's. The port line actually goes through the boom and comes out of the center roller (it is also becomes wire at this point) and is used as the outhall. The other line stays on the starboard side and connects to the topping lift. At the bottom of the boom near the gooseneck there's a cleat.
So it seems as if my boom can have three lines going through it, the port and starboard lines have rope jam's and I assume the centerline should go to the cleat under the boom.
I would like at least one reefing line so would appreciate any advice of how I should reconfigure things.
Thanks,
Warren.
