Hunter 240 outboard bracket

Just wondering if anyone has changed, replaced or altered there outboard bracket on a hunter 240? My bracket needs replacing and was just after any tips or suggestions in altering the bracket and the outboard currently drags and I was looking to try and get it to lift.

When you say dragging, what is it dragging on, sand, etc? Are you referring to dragging in the water?

Suggest that you post this question in the small boat section.
