Has anyone installed drains and throughhulls in the lazaretts in a 240? Ours get so full of bugs that it would be nice to be able to clean them out withou using a hand pump. Thank you for any feed back.

I did on my 95 23.5 ,Kind of a pain because of the foam underneath but put them in both ,ran to a t fiitting and out stern,Works great never fill up after a heavy rain.
I've been contemplating this myself. On the one hand, it would be nice if they drained on their own. On the other hand, if the drain ever leaked it would leak into the interior... I wonder if I should instead concentrate on keeping the water out of the lazerette. Weatherstripping?

There must be something different about the cockpit locker lid on the H23.5 vs. the H26. I haven’t had any trouble with getting rain water in the locker.
