Hunter 240 2001 identification number

i am looking to buy a hunter 240 2001
i don't see a fed registration number
is there a hidden identification number somewhere?

It is actually easy to see. Stern, right side, outboard from the motor mound, just under the hull/deck joint.

it is also located under the companionway if you will lift up it all the way and you will see it in the water channel.
