Click on boat information, then click on Hunter and click on 23. Pull that up and there is an owners manual there. Read it first so you will know more and if then you still need help, get back with us and we will further advise.

I am not sure if you mean "outhaul, topping lift and reefing line." My 23 uses the 3 sheaves at the fore and aft of the boom for those purposes, and does not have a downhaul for the main (the tack simply shackles to the gooseneck). If you want, send me a PM with your number and I can describe to you what I have. I know there are at least 2 (maybe more?) brands/designs of masts and mast cranes, so what I have may not exactly match yours.

How do you run the 3 lines from the fore end of the boom.

RC;
First it appears you did not follow my suggestions. Go to boat information under Hunter and look up the 23 and look for the owners manuals and also look at the rigging in the owner supplied photos too. Although there is not much I will reference pages 18, 27 and 32. Probably you have a Kenyon Isomat mast and boom. Take photos of both so we can confirm. In addition, look up in the archives as much has been written. Then at that point, we will be able to help you better and go from there but helping yourself a little here will go a long way to better help you understand what we are talking about.

I am coming from a stand point as a former Hunter dealer who sold a lot of these boats.

If you mean how to thread the lines through the boom, I used an electrical fish tape you can buy from any big box store, Harbor Freight, etc. Push it through the boom around the sheaves and then attach a small diameter messenger line to the end of the tape (try to pull the tape's end through the other end sheave). Then pull each actual line (outhaul, reefing, topping lift) using the messengers.
I rigged my topping lift a bit differently so it would be easier to remove the boom and to adjust it. Instead of having a line run from the front of the boom, through it, out the aft end and then all the way up to the mast crane, I did this: attach a fixed line (wire rope or line, your choice) to the mast crane (I used wire rope as it was already in place when I bought mine). Make that line long enough to reach to about 3 ft above the end of the boom when the boom is level. Attach a small swivel block to the end of that line/wire. Run your topping lift line (could be like 1/4 in diam) through the boom, out a back end sheave, up to and through the block, then down to be tied off to the fitting at the end of the boom (or use a bowline and small shackle if you prefer). It is easier to adjust the height that way, and you do not have to remove the line through the boom when you haul the boat - that line always stays inside the boom, and is just untied (or unshackled) and pulled out of the swivel block to remove and stow the boom.

Isakspoo;
Thank you for that great response. Not sure if the mast and boom are Kenyon Isomat or Z Spar. This is why the photos to be sure. Sometimes when folks look at owner supplied photos, it makes more sense as to what your are saying. A lot has been written by you and I over the years. This is why I suggested looking at a few things first so what is said for example your most recent post will be better understood. Again thank you for your support.

Good point about the different models. I am pretty sure mine is a Z spar, so if Rcarbo has a Kenyon, it may be different.
