It looks like we are gonna have the 1st Hunter 23 National Championship. Kinda Cool. We are haveing it on Aug 25 & 26 at Indian Lake in Ohio. The number of races is open for discussion I am thinking of 3 but might have more like 5 but they won't be very long windward - leeward courses, up and back. It will be a chance for all 23's to get togather and see other boats. The cost for the Regatta will be around $25.00 per boat with food being seperate,but there will be food catered for part of the event but not sure on cost, Aug is a way's off. I'm not much of a racer, having bought Artemis as more of a fun toy. I can help with getting people fed and helping out with logistics. We have a condo almost adjoining the ILYC, so we'll be close and available. We marked the date in the book as a keeper and look forward to seeing how old hands organize and play with their toys. Jon , Mike Epp and all, I have never raced /crewed, etc, the closest I have been i s one time I was napping and the wife was sailing and we ended up in the middle of some one elses race, they were a cordial bunch, and we raced to see how fast we could exit the area, with things intact, I plan to attend and race, some one has to be last, Mike, Bacome
