hunter 23 / Jib sheet cam cleat size

Hi All
I am looking to replace the original 2 cam cleats on my h23 - I didn't see a set available in the forum store - plus I dont have access to my boat in storage to measure. Can you please let me know if anyone can recommend a replacements or any specs as I see many suppliers carry small medium large?
Im thinking to replace the oem ones with
Ronstan C-Cleat - anyone have experience with Ronstan parts?

Ronstan is excellent. I'm not really familiar with your boat... but there are some basics to remember. First is to use a NON CAPTIVE cleat... i.e. The basic open style... no fairlead on the cleat itself... you want to be able to unload the winch quickly by pulling the sheet vertically off the drum. In most cases you will be trimming the sheet without the winch handle until it is needed so having it free is important. The next suggestion is to consider the position and angle from the drum to the cleat. The sheet will have less of an over ride if the entry point to the cleat is above the lower wraps on the drum... so you should consider raising the cleat off the deck a bit... fortunately Ronstan makes an assortment of risers with this in mind. If you look through their catalogue you'll find plenty of info on how to place them. Thirdly, install the cleat with bolts, not screws, using fender washers as backing plates. With risers you'll have to do some figuring on what length bolt is necessary, Finally, the size cleat you need is determined by the rope diameter you'll be using. That info is on the tag.

Remember that a headsail sheet comes from the sail to a lead block... adjustable I hope... then to the winch.... then to the cleat. A halyard is different... it is very common to use a captive device on the cleat... such as a wire guide....to help with organization. If you have a halyard winch on the cabin top the cleat can be placed ahead of the winch...so it can multi purposed... jib, mainsail, spinnaker halyards for instance, can all use the same winch....
