Hunter 23 hull changeover date

I know that in the 1985 model year, both movable and fixed keels were produced for the H23. Did they change the hull at the same time -- Do the wing keel boats have a rope tunnel going to the keel just like the swing keels do? If so, does it have any purpose?

No tunnel here...

1985 H23. Wing keel. No rope tunnel here.

And no tunnels here either. Must have been something they drilled out just for the swing keels.
