I have a 1987 Hunter 23 and would like to put a bimini on board. I haven't seen any pictures with one up while sailing. I want to make sure you can have the mainsail up with the bimini up and have enough room to sit under it. Any pictures would be great and any installing tips would be helpful also. Thanks and great sailing . Ken patiently waiting for the 2020 season in Ohio.

Do an internet search on "hunter 23 images with bimini" and you will find a 1987 Hunter 23 with a bimini.
check with Dave Groshong with the forum store. You can also go to Ameriseam in Tampa, Florida and ask for Jim Larsen. I assume you have the 23 wing keel

My '23 had the bimini from this site (years ago!). I would personally get an old mainsail with foot cut at an angle, to fit a taller bimini. It was just 6" too low to really enjoy sailing with it deployed.
I'm also thinking about getting a bimini for my 23. knotatwork2 please keep us posted on what you get.
There is plenty of room. You might have to move the bail foir your mainsheet forward about 6" but that is not a problem.
The Bimini came from American Marine Canvas. www.ameriseam.com.
They have really good prices. This was sunbrella over an aluminum frame and cost was $350 including tax and shipping. Get one that is 64 inches long.

I bought mine with one already installed but it was too high and the boom rubbed on it a bit and worse than that it was quite the eyesore.... Not sure why the pictures doubled up sorry. Hopefully this gives you an idea on mounting one, the picture with my first mate at the dock is after we cut it down about 5 or 6 inches much better now
BDoe86. - The pictures didn't work for me. Can you repost them. I just purchased a bimini for my H23 and I'd love to see how you mounted it and what you did to cut it down. Worried about the height of the one I purchased.
