I know this is a silly question.I bought a Hunter 1993 Hunter 23.5 and never asked what size the hitch was. I suspect 2" as it is a 3000lb boat, but wondered if it was bigger because of the surge brakes or something. Thanks in advance!Captain Bob
The boat also did not come with a motor. Ok, I paid $5K for the boat and it is in excellent shape!Does it need a short or long shaft motor? I am sure I can measure it when I get it, but wondered if anyone knew. Thanks again!
A 20" saft is a minimum a 25" one might not be necesssary on a lake but I wish I had one on mine. 6 hp is plenty or maybe 8 hp tops is all you need. Look at the new Mercury lightweight four strokes if your looking at new motors. The grip shift on the Mercurys comes in real handy during tight docking manuvers.
I ordered a Tohatsu/Nissan/Mercury 8HP 4-stroke for it today. Good tip on the 8HP. And I figured the ball was 2" but wanted to make sure I was covered when I picked it up.Pictures soon!
